Child Care - Outdoor Preschool

We take a community driven approach to childcare, allowing children to explore their world within our homes and the surrounding neighbourhood. With us, little ones learn problem solving through free play and hands on activities, mastering new ideas and social skills experientially. It is our sincere belief that engaging with one another and the place we live in this way encourages children to be creative, confident and respectful of others with knowledge of the importance of diversity and a belief in social justice. 
Each week we go on outings in the community. We believe in creating a social community in which our little people may interact safely, facilitating meaningful connections and in-depth experiences.

We operate like a large family, discovering, learning, and navigating our days together. Little ones are encouraged to enjoy, experiment with, and learn about their food through gardening, shopping locally, creating meals and contributing to menus. A great deal can be learned from our surroundings; our communities, and our neighbours. Our projects, and explorations are lead by children’s interests and curiosities as we aim to take advantage of all the community & neighbourhood has to offer connceting with nature and each other–whether chasing squirrels in the park, attending outdoor theatre & music, playing in the snow, excavating in the sand pit, dropping-in at a local circle time, water play, building forts in the woods, or picking out the next days snack at the farmers market (when possible).
